The beauty industry is an ever-expanding industry, chock-full of opportunity. I remember when I first started my beauty-preneur journey... I was terrified, I had no prior knowledge, and it seemed like there was so much to learn. I was even afraid of needles!

I didn't let that stop me, though; I was determined to make a name for myself and create the best brow business that I possibly could. So, I buckled down and completed a microblading training. I practiced my techniques, set up my business systems, developed a brand, and marketed myself on social media... all on my own... while working a day job!

Does that sound like a lot?

To be honest, it is a lot - for one person! I went through the trial and error, I made mistakes, and I worked overtime on most days. If I could do it over again, I would have been able to see more growth without spreading myself thin if I would have had a mentor to show me exactly what to do along the way.

If you're anything like me, I used to feel as though I wasn't putting in enough effort if I couldn't figure things out on my own.

Now that I've been through it and learned so many lessons in this industry, my favourite motto is "work smarter, not harder!"
